Meet Anthony McCollum

Candidate for Pulaski County Jailer


I grew up in Eubank, Kentucky where my father was active in many community projects. He served the citizens of Eubank unselfishly. I learned from my father at an early age how important it is to be committed to your community. I am married and have five children and two grandchildren. We are members of First Baptist Church in Somerset. I graduated Somerset High School and the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training. I am a certified Law Enforcement Officer with over 30 years’ experience. I am currently employed as a School Resource Officer in the Pulaski County Schools.

As your Jailer I am committed to providing the citizens of Pulaski County a professional and secure facility, while maintaining a constitutional level of care to those confined.

Fiscal Management:

I will work toward the facility becoming self-supportive with a minimum number of local tax dollars.


I will ensure the staff is professionally trained to operate and maintain the facility.

Community Issues:

I will be accessible to the community and address their concerns.

I will be committed to community partnerships.

I will be committed to community work programs.

I will be committed to community youth programs.

I will be committed to community clean-up programs.

I will be committed to community Faith based programs.


I will work to determine inmate needs through an intake assessment program and provide them with assistance in areas that are identified.

I will work to implement re-entry programs in conjunction with the Department of Corrections to provide inmates with skills to successfully return to society.

I will work with local education institutions to provide educational opportunities for those inmates who wish to increase their educational status.
